FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Joining Our Parish
How do I become a Christian?

Baptism marks the beginning of a new life in Christ.  To become a member of any Episcopal Church, including St. Andrew’s, baptism is the first step.  If you’ve never been baptized, learn more about baptism by exploring these Frequently asked Questions, then contact Fr. Sean to learn more.

How do I move my membership record to St. Andrew’s from another parish?

If you have previously been a member of another church, and would like to transfer your church membership to St. Andrew’s, contact our parish secretary, Dianne Gilbert.  You’ll be asked to provide some basic information about yourself so that we may complete your membership record and notify your previous parish.

Baptism

What is baptism and why is it important?

Baptism is the sacrament by which we are adopted as God’s children, made members of Christ’s Body, the Church, and become inheritors of the Kingdom of God.  At baptism, we publicly renounce the forces of evil in the world, repent of our sins, and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.  We are baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and are welcomed officially into the fellowship of believers, the Church.
