Description: One part welcoming smile; One part enthusiastic “good morning;” One part firm handshake; Add a dash of assistance; And a sprinkle of information -- And you have the makings of an official greeter for St. Andrew’s. What a pleasure it is to welcome parishioners and visitors alike to each service and delightful to surprise our visitors with a small remembrance at close of worship. Please join us in serving generous portions of St. Andrew’s hospitality!

Would you like to welcome our guests but prefer to work behind the scenes? Cookie baking could be the perfect solution. You are invited to join our rotation of cookie bakers. You would need to prepare four dozen of your favorite un-iced cookies, suitable for freezing, approximately once every three months. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way towards letting our visitors know: “Welcome to Saint Andrew’s. We’re Glad You Came!” For more information on greeting and cookie baking, please contact Adrienne Frieda, 823-0313.

Ushers
Contact: Robert Davis
Description: The usher team is comprised of approximately 40 loyal communicants who enjoy the chance to be the front-line in the task of meeting and greeting new faces in our church. The ushers also serve as traffic controllers on those Sundays when space is tight, and we all get to know each other a little better. We also perform the important task of policing the pews after the service to make sure that the church is ready to go for the next service. Ushers serve approximately once a month at the service of their choice. The usher coordinators are Bob Roepke for the 7:30am service, and Robert C. Davis for the 9:00am and 11:15am services. We are always looking for new folks to become ushers. If you are interested in joining please contact Bob or Robert through the church office at (979) 822-5176.

Young Adults
Contact: Mike Mullen, 822-5176, youth@standrewsbcs.org
The Gateway Bible Study for Young Adults is made up of folks beyond high school age, although open to anyone, the majority of the active participants are undergraduates.  It meets during the school year every Thursday night at 9:15 for bible study, prayer and fellowship in homes in College Station.
Our desire is to help individuals in that age group connect with a church home, meet other Christians of similar age, and to form a community with common needs and interests that go beyond simply sitting in a pew on Sunday mornings and as a church to help meet those needs. Anyone out of high school and not yet involved with this growing group is welcome to get involved!
Young at Heart
Youth Group
Contact: Mike Mullen, 822-5176, youth@standrewsbcs.org
The purpose of St. Andrew’s Youth Ministry is to provide opportunities for worship, ministry, fellowship, discipleship and evangelism for and among those young people in grades 6-12. The calendar of the youth ministry at St. Andrew's is purposely designed to provide numerous opportunities for us to spend time together, to hang out with each other and to have fun with the most important fruit of that time being relationships with each other and with God. Friends, curiosity seekers and new folks are always welcome. Regular activities throughout the year include the Wednesday night Bible study, (“PB&J”), along with numerous weekend diocesan and local youth group activities.
