The trip components include:
Veterinary care – primarily spays and neuters along with equine and sheep care. continued …
Remodeling – an old kitchen in one of the buildings will be completely updated.
Children’s VBS – a program with special focus on making reading fun ( we hope to take
approx. 300 children’s books to leave)
The mission trip receives no funds from the church budget and relies solely on donations and fundraising. Team members pay all of their own expenses and trip funds are used for supplies and sponsorships for vet students and our own youth. Congratulations to our Mission Trip essay winners!
We are pleased to announce that five of our St. Andrew’s youth will be accompanying the team to the Navajo Nation in June. Morgan Smith, Matthew Waskom, Gretchen Vilas, Bridget Vilas, and Madison Waskom earned sponsorships with their essays. We are excited that these young members of our church will be working with the team in Arizona learning more about mission work and serving those in need, as well as learning about the Navajo culture.
