Music plays an integral role in the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. worship services at St. Andrew’s, as well as during special services throughout the year.
Providing voluntaries and supporting the singing at St. Andrew’s, the 45-rank pipe organ is one of the best in the region. It was renovated in 2005 and the organ is an outstanding example of the American classic organ.
At the 11:15 a.m. service, and during special services, the hymns, psalms and service music are led by the Chancel Choir, which also presents an offertory anthem.
Further enhancing the music at the 11:15 a.m. service, the Bell Choir presents a special prelude once a month.
In Advent each year, the Chancel Choir and Bell Choir combine their efforts for a Service of Lessons and Carols. The St. Andrew’s music program has been led by Dr. Alan Strong since 1992.
