Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ

Knowing the Good News of God’s reconciling love we will share our faith with others. We will create and support Christian communities beyond the walls of the church building that worship, eat, pray, and sing together.

Missional Communities

St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Hearne

Begun in the early 1870’s, the congregation grew and was a mainstay in the center of Hearne near downtown for decades.  The existing church building, replacing an earlier wooden structure on the same site, was built between 1912-13.

St. Philip’s Episcopal Church now is in a growth mode with the belief that many people in Robertson County can come to know Christ through St. Philip’s parish.

Saint Andrew’s has partnered with Saint Philip’s over the last few years, assisting with many aspects of the growth.  Some of these partnerships and initiatives have included:

  • Community-wide Thanksgiving Dinner, at which St. Philip’s and St. Andrew’s members helped provide the food and serve more than 200 people who attended.
  • Community Garden.
  • Vacation Bible School.
  • St. Andrew’s Grace Daughters of the King chapter also helped start a first-ever chapter of Junior DOK, the Eve Chapter, which includes 4 members from St. Philip’s.
  • Facility improvements.
