Fr. Daryl was raised in Pasadena, Texas, where his family attended San Pedro’s/Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 with a B.A. in Government. After graduation, he worked as a clerk for Travis County Constable, Precinct 5, and then coordinated a truancy prevention program for Travis County Constable, Precinct 3. While working for Travis County and attending Saint David’s Episcopal Church, he perceived a call to ordained ministry. He attended the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin and graduated in 2003. After ordination, he served as assistant rector at Christ Church in Tyler and eight years as rector of Saint James’ in La Grange. He has served as rector of Saint Andrew’s in Bryan since October 2013. Fr. Daryl has served on the diocesan Executive Board and as a co-facilitator for the diocese’s Curate Cohort/First Time in Charge program, and is currently dean of the Central Convocation. He is married to Terri, and they have three grown sons.

Padre Benjamín Sánchez is an Episcopal priest originally from Colombia and currently serves as Vicar of Fellowship Espíritu Santo in Bryan, part of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. His formation includes studies in Philosophy in Mexico City and Theology in Rome, as well as religious vows taken in the Congregation of the Servants of Charity. He was ordained a deacon in Rome in 2010 and a priest in Colombia in 2011.

Before joining the Episcopal Church, Padre Ben ministered for several years in Colombia, Mexico, and the Archdiocese of New Orleans, serving Hispanic communities across the metropolitan area. His roles have included teacher, spiritual director, vocation promoter, associate rector, and director of a home for the elderly.

In 2018 he began his transition into the Episcopal Church, completing a Diploma in Anglican Studies at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin. In 2021, he was received as an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Louisiana, where he served as Missioner for Hispanic Ministry and associate rector at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Metairie, while supporting additional congregations in the New Orleans area.

Padre Ben has been called to plant a Hispanic Episcopal community in Bryan, Texas, where he continues his passion for building bridges between Latino and Anglo families and nurturing communities grounded in love.

He is happily married to his wife Paula, and together they have Thomas, a four-year-old, and his big brother Nicholas. Joyful and fulfilled as a family man, Padre Ben remains committed to serving both communities with dedication, guiding families along the way of love.
