Saint Andrew’s Choir
Music is at the heart of worship at Saint Andrew’s. Rooted in the rich tradition of The Episcopal Church, our music includes congregational hymns, choral anthems, and the singing of the Psalms, all shaped by the rhythm of the Church year. Led by Dr. Linda Patterson, Director of Music, along with the Saint Andrew’s Choir and instrumentalists, our music supports and enriches the liturgy, drawing us more deeply into prayer.

The Saint Andrew’s Choir
The Saint Andrew’s Choir leads and enriches worship at the 10:15 a.m. service from the end of August through May, offering anthems and supporting congregational singing throughout the liturgy. The choir also sings for special services throughout the year.
Comprised of volunteer and trained singers, the choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 3:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–8:00 p.m. All are welcome to join.
Bell Choir
The Bell Choir offers a unique opportunity to make music through handbells, adding a distinct and joyful sound to the worship life of Saint Andrew’s.
Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays from 5:30–6:00 p.m. No prior experience is necessary, and all are welcome to participate or observe.
Children’s Music
During the 10:15 a.m. service, children in Pre-K through second grade are invited to Children’s Chapel, an age-appropriate time of worship held upstairs. After the Sequence Hymn, they follow the Processional Cross to the chapel, where they hear the Gospel, sing together, and engage with the story at their own level. Children return to the service at the Peace, just before Communion.
Instrumentalists
Instrumentalists play an important role in the worship life of Saint Andrew’s, supporting congregational singing and enhancing the liturgy through organ and other instrumental offerings. Guest musicians and ensembles are often featured throughout the year, adding richness and variety to our worship and special services.
Music Beyond Sunday
Saint Andrew’s offers opportunities for musical growth and participation beyond weekly worship. Members of the Saint Andrew’s Choir are encouraged to take part in diocesan offerings such as the annual Choral Festival and Diocesan Council Choir.
Dr. Linda Patterson also serves on the leadership team for the diocesan Music Camp, a one-week residential program for junior high and high school musicians.
