What to Expect During Your First Visit to Saint Andrew’s
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when visiting Saint Andrew’s. Sunday services are at 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., with Faith Formation at 9:15 a.m.
You’ll find a welcome table in the Narthex (front of the church) and in the Parlor. Our greeters and ushers would be glad to offer you a connect card so we can stay in touch.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel comfortable. On a typical Sunday, you’ll see everything from casual attire to more traditional Sunday dress.
Where do I park?
Parking is available along 26th Street (including across the street), in our parking lot, and on Parker Street.
Accessible parking is located in the main lot near the entrances, along with a ramp leading up to the church.
We have four main entrances:
- Parking lot entrance (leads to the Parish Hall)
- Office entrance (double glass doors facing 26th Street)
- Parlor entrance (double wooden doors facing 26th Street)
- Main church entrance (at the top of the steps facing 26th Street)
An accessible ramp connects the parking lot to these entrances, and an elevator lift is available from the Parlor to the church level.
Where do I take my children?
Children are welcome at all services, though you may see more families at the 10:15 a.m. service.
- Nursery (newborn–age 4) is available starting at 8:45 a.m.
- Sunday School (Pre-K through high school) meets upstairs in the Youth Hall from 9:15–10:05 a.m. during the school year
During the 10:15 a.m. service, children in Pre-K to second grade are invited to Children’s Chapel. They will be led out during the Sequence Hymn and return to the service at the Peace, just before Communion.
If you need help finding anything, an usher or greeter will be happy to assist you.
Where do I go before or after services?
We gather in the Parish Hall for coffee and light refreshments before and after each service.
Adult faith formation classes are held from 9:15–10:05 a.m. during the school year in the Parish Hall.
How do I get connected?
Please be sure to fill out a Connect Card, which can be found in any of the church pews or here, and place it in the offertory plate so we can follow up with you and answer any questions.

What to Expect During Worship
Our worship follows the Book of Common Prayer, centered on Scripture, prayer, music, and Holy Communion.
All those of any age baptized with water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are invited to receive Holy Communion.
To receive the bread, place your hands together and extend them toward the priest. A chalice bearer will then offer the wine. You may drink from the chalice or dip the bread into the wine.
If you are not baptized, you are invited to come forward for a blessing by crossing your arms over your chest.
We typically approach the altar via the center aisle and return by the side aisles.
During the service, you may notice people kneeling, crossing themselves, or bowing. There are also times when the congregation responds together or recites prayers and creeds.
If you are new to liturgical worship, there is no need to worry about “doing it right.” Everything you need will be provided in the service bulletin. Simply participate as you feel comfortable.
