Organ

Music plays a central role in the worship and life of Saint Andrew’s, and the pipe organ stands at the heart of that tradition. It leads congregational singing, supports the choir, and offers music that enriches both worship and concert life.

Our organ is a 47-rank, three-manual Pilcher instrument and a fine example of the American Classic style, known for its versatility and beauty of sound. With more than 2,700 pipes, the instrument is designed to support a wide range of music, from hymnody and choral accompaniment to solo repertoire across many musical periods.

A pipe organ has been part of worship at Saint Andrew’s since services were first held in 1914. The current instrument reflects generations of care and development, including a major renovation completed in 2005 that enhanced its musical range while preserving elements of its historic character.

Today, the organ continues to serve as both a cornerstone of worship and a featured instrument in concerts and recitals, carrying forward a legacy of music that has shaped the life of Saint Andrew’s for more than a century.
