Outreach

There are many ways to serve outside of Saint Andrew’s, and we encourage you to learn more about any opportunities that interest you.

Faith in Action Council

At Saint Andrew’s, we are called to live out our faith beyond our walls. Rooted in worship and growing in faith, we are sent into the world to give in love, serving our neighbors and seeking the good of our community.

There are many ways to get involved, and we are always grateful for new volunteers. To learn more or join the Faith in Action Council, please contact Father Daryl.

Brazos Church Pantry

Located just a block from Saint Andrew’s, the Brazos Church Pantry shares the love of Christ by providing food to those in need. Our parish supports the pantry through monthly food donations, with collection boxes in the Narthex and Parish Hall for the “food of the month.”

Volunteers also serve on the third and fourth Saturdays of each month, assisting with bagging groceries, carrying items to cars, stocking shelves, and supporting this vital ministry.

Brazos Hunger Solutions

Volunteers packing food boxes at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church food drive. Brazos Hunger Solutions works toward a community where no one goes to bed hungry. Through advocacy and collaboration, this organization addresses food insecurity across Brazos County and invites our participation in meaningful, long-term solutions.

Neal Elementary

Through the Saint Andrew’s Scholars program, scholarships are awarded each year to fourth grade students, helping support their future educational goals. Parishioners also serve as mentors and reading buddies, spending time each week with students to build confidence, offer encouragement, and foster a love of learning.

In addition, Saint Andrew’s supports Neal through a clothing closet and other needs throughout the school year. Donations and volunteers are always welcome.

CROP Hunger Walk

Angel Tree

Through the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree, part of our Restorative Justice Ministry, our parish provides Christmas gifts for children whose parents are incarcerated. Opportunities to shop or donate are shared each Advent season.

Costa Rica Mission Trip

Historic wooden church with visitors entering on a sunny day. Saint Andrew’s is planning a mission trip to Costa Rica in August 2026. While specific details are still being discerned, the focus will be on relationship-building, shared worship, and deepening our connection with the Diocese of Costa Rica.
